Wismut Labs at WEF Digital Platforms & Ecosystems Workshop
Our CEO, Markus Kirchberg, spoke in-front of the World Economic Forum Digital Platforms & Ecosystems Workshop in Singapore yesterday. Markus shared some of his thoughts on the negative side of multi-sided platforms as they mature, disrupt, compete and try to find a balance serving the various interests of the platform participants, owners and affected third parties.
Platforms are the dominant business model of the time and Markus shone a spotlight on some of the contentious issues in the ride-sharing context in Singapore, friendly fraud (chargebacks) evolution in payments as well as the impact of the online travel booking agency duopoly.
